This week, we’re deviating from the norm a bit, to tell you about some really worthwhile events that are coming up in Chicago that benefit causes I believe in.
The first is Below The Belt, a fundraiser I’m co-chairing, which benefits the Women’s Health Foundation in Chicago. The organization is committed to connecting, educating and empowering women who struggle with pelvic health issues. Every year, they manage to not only have an intimate concert (Jewel, Lisa Loeb, etc.) but they also have some of the best food. This year, multi-Grammy® Award winning singer/fiddleplayer Alison Krauss will be headlining the event, which will be held at the Ravenswood Event Center, which has one of the coolest collections of rare, vintage cars on the planet. You can be assured the food is going to be among the best you’ve had at a charitable event (I’ve made sure of that).
I realize there are dozens of worthwhile events to attend each year, but I’m hoping you’ll make a point to buy a ticket and stop by to say hello to me on June 7th. For more information and to get tickets, click here.
