Singapore’s Hawker Centers
Singapore has been accumulating more and more high-end restaurants over the past few years. There are no shortage of fine-dining options; Odette, Corner House and Restaurant André are just a trio of places I had a chance to dine this week. But the city is known around the world for its vibrant, boisterous hawker (food cart) centers, where entrepreneurs ply their trade and often cook delicious meals in a space no larger than the average kid’s bathroom. I’m sharing a few of my highlights here.
