Dîner en Blanc Returns To Chicago
Celebrating 25 years, the international picnic-in-white event known as Dîner en Blanc will close out the summer in Chicago on September 19th. Last year, the event took place in the Art Institute’s South Garden. Participants are asked to wear all-white and bring the makings of an elegant picnic dinner with them – chairs, white linens, food and drink. Dîner en Blanc does serve alcohol and therefore all attendees must be 21 years old to participate. Organizers say more than 1,400 people are on the waiting list, and those who attend don’t find out until the last-minute. In order to get on the list, you’ve got to register here. Admission is $35 + a $5 membership fee. Just be careful with that glass of cabernet sauvignon, please.
