Sweden Offers Much More Than Meatballs

As much as I like hanging out with the Blackhawks’ Niklas Hjalmarsson at Tre Kronor, I’ve always been curious about the Swedish food scene – beyond the cafe at IKEA. ‚ Last week, I attended a brief Swedish gastronomy tour for food journalists, sponsored by the Swedish government. ‚ Not everything was stellar (some of it was actually a bit silly), but I came away from the trip with a much better appreciation for what they’re up to. ‚ My edited “home video” will give you a better picture of what we ate. ‚ (Incidentally, we did get to Copenhagen on Saturday to check out Noma on our own; I’ll have some video from there on Wednesday).
