Chicago Gets Ready To Bring Home The Bacon

Chicago is gearing up for its biggest Baconfest yet, and pork belly-loving Chicagoans will want to have their mouse-clicking fingers ready to secure themselves a ticket at noon on February 16. In previous years, tickets to the event have sold out quickly. For the uninitiated, Baconfest is a two day bacon extravaganza featuring creative bacon snacks prepared by the city’s best chefs, bacon products and merchandise for sale, and bacon inspired cocktails, beer, and wine. Baconfest is also home to the Golden Rasher Awards, the Oscars of Chicago’s bacon world. For more info check out the event’s website.

This year’s Baconfest will be held at the UIC Forum April 17-18, 2015. General Admission tickets to the session of your choice go on sale here at 12 pm on February 16. Tickets cost $100 +ticketing fees and include tastings from all Baconfest restaurants at the session selected, seven alcoholic beverages, a baconfest tote, and souvenir program. Impatient Baconfest enthusiasts can purchase $200 VIP tickets now, which include an extra hour of bacon tasting before the larger General Admission crowd. Tickets are on sale here.
