Fundraiser Next Week Promises to Be “Unbelievably Amazing, Terribly Entertaining”
As I pointed out yesterday, we’re taking a break from the usual lineup, and letting you know about some worthwhile events coming up next week that I’m involved in. Today, I wanted to tell you a little bit about EMBARC, a program run through a single Chicago Public School (with more on the way), exposing inner city kids to Chicago’s food and culture. I profiled them on ABC 7 a few months ago (see video, above), and am hoping you can spare the $40 to come out on June 8 to support them, as I do.
EMBARC presents its Second Annual Unbelievably Amazing & Terribly Entertaining Blowout Variety Spectacular next week in Ukrainian Village. There will be tasting tables, a silent auction, live music & dancing, plus magic and comedy. Here are the details:
Friday, June 8th, 7pm
The Painted Door – 1505 w Chicago ave
Tickets are only $40 and include Drinks and Eats
Purchase Tickets Here
100 percent of the night’s proceeds benefit EMBARC, a nonprofit that empowers Chicago’s most underserved students to shape and achieve their dreams. EMBARC provides art, cultural and food-based experiences to at-risk high school students. Come out, drink-up and marvel at the entertainment while supporting a good cause.
Doors open at 7:00 pm, show kicks off at 8:00.
