Goose Island Brews a Pearl for Shaw’s 30th Anniversary

Twenty five years ago, when Goose Island Brewing was still hustling to get sales going, Shaw’s Crab House became its first corporate account. Now Goose Island is helping Shaw’s celebrate the restaurant’s 30th anniversary, with a limited edition beer crafted to pair perfectly with Shaw’s seafood menu, namely its oysters. The unique brew is called Pearl: Shaw’s Commemorative Common. It’s a riff off of a California Common, an American-style lager with a medium body and malty, mildly fruity flavor. Diners will be able to enjoy Pearl on draft at Shaw’s Chicago and Schaumberg locations throughout early 2015, but beer lovers looking for the first sip will have a chance to sample the brew at the restaurant’s Goose Island Release Party on December 11, from 4-6 pm. Shaw’s will tap the new brew and serve half priced oysters. For more information visit
