James Beard Chefs Unite at Taste America: Chicago Edition

In support of culinary scholarships, The James Beard Foundation is hosting progressive dinner parties in ten of America’s greatest food cities this year. Chicago’s Taste America celebration begins here next Friday, October 23rd, with a chef-studded event at The Geraghty, one of the coolest new venues in the city you’ve probably never been to.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., local James Beard-nominated chefs enliven the pre-dinner tasting reception, hosted by Paramount Events‘ chef Devon Quinn. Guests will enjoy dishes from Paul Virant, Paul Fehribach, Ryan McCaskey, and Tanya Baker.

Then visiting chef Mark Ladner of New York’s Del Posto presents a four-course menu alongside two of Chicago’s esteemed kitchen duos – Johnny Clark and Beverly Kim of Parachute and Dave and Megan Miller of Baker Miller. Featured chefs also make appearances for book signings and cooking demos at the Michigan Avenue Sur la Table on Saturday.
