Oyster Fest Still Shucking Along

Has it been 27 years already? It seems like every fall this event sneaks up on me, jolting me into the reality that summer is officially over. The 27th Annual Oyster Fest, presented by Shaw’s Crab House will take place on Friday, September 11th. Located at 435 N. Wabash at Hubbard and Rush, the Festival runs from 3 – 10 pm and synth-pop act St. Lucia will be headlining the event. I’ve actually seen St. Lucia twice – once at Lolla and once at Lincoln Hall – and this year I’m as excited about the oysters as I am the tunes.

The Oyster Fest menu will feature fresh seafood influenced by the East, West and Southern Coasts as well as a large number of oysters on the half shell. New this year will be a special crab dinner for $75/person with two seatings at 6 p.m. or 8 p.m.
Tickets for Oyster Fest are on sale now, and are available for $30/person at www.oysterfestchicago.com.
