Prosecco Harvest Underway

I’ve always loved music videos, and I’ve always loved sparkling wine. What if we could marry the two? Since Italy’s beloved prosecco is being harvested now, and with tons of winemakers in town this weekend for Chicago Gourmet, I thought I would share this video that I shot and edited at Mionetto’s vineyards and production facility in Valdobbiadene a few years ago. If you have three minutes to spare, you’ll catch a glimpse of what life is like there right about now (note the crazy steep hills they grow the grapes on).

If you don’t have tickets to this weekend’s Chicago Gourmet, and are craving some prosecco, you can find it at just about any of your fine neighborhood wine shops.  If they don’t carry it, then that’s probably a store you shouldn’t be buying wine from to begin with.
