BBQ and Chili Contest for Super Bowl Sunday

The BBQ pulled pork is one of many dishes featured on Bub City’s Superbowl menu

Chips and dip are usually a Super Bowl go-to, but this year why not try something a bit different? Bub City (435 N. Clark) is offering a special Super Bowl inspired BBQ menu with choices such as Texas Trucker Snack Dip, full rack Baby Back Ribs, Mac and Cheese, and Bub City’s signature Coconut Cream and Peanut Butter Chocolate pies. The River North restaurant is also offering prix-fixe menus starting at $125. These menus, which feature Zane’s Baked Beans, Smokie’s Chili, and pulled BBQ pork, will feed up to 15 people. Bub City is also offering delivery for an additional charge for those who want to watch the game at home. For larger orders allow 48 hours. This Super Bowl Sunday, you can also participate in a chili-off while watching the big game. Howells and Hood’s Chef Scott Walton will be competing against six chefs to create the best chili. Audience participation is required, and diners will get the opportunity to taste all seven variations and vote on a winner. The winning chili will be announced by the end of the third quarter.
