Thursday Cookbook Giveaway: The Naked Chef
When Jamie Oliver first burst onto the U.S. food scene, most food writers thought the whole “naked” thing (“it’s food, stripped down to its essence”) was just a dumb marketing gimmick. But I could see right away, after having worked with him on a segment from the Chicago Tribune’s test kitchen, that the lad knew what he was doing, and had an easy way about working in the kitchen. This book, from 2000, helped launch Oliver on our shores, and it can be yours; just tell me in a few sentences, why you deserve it. Better yet, get creative in a poem or haiku. Just enter in the COMMENTS section below. Deadline is tomorrow (Friday) at 5 p.m. CST. I’ll announce a winner over the weekend. Good luck!
