Top 5 Honey Dishes (for Rosh Hashana)
Happy 5772! I was up all night, what with the ball drop and the champagne and all…
Actually, Rosh Hashana is a time for reflection and celebration, leading up to Yom Kippur next week, the day of repentance and forgiveness. But every dinner table is set with honey this time of year. It’s meant to offer a symbol – and a wish – that the new year will be a sweet one. It’s typically served on the side of some sliced apples, meant for dipping. I figured not everyone has a Jewish mother to feed them this week, so if you’re in the mood for honey, here are my five must-haves during the High Holidays.
