University of Illinois Students, Parents Have Plenty of New Eating Options

A lot of locals will soon head down to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for homecoming. Some just to see old friends, while others, like me, to see their kids. With a senior now at the university, I asked my daughter to do some research on great spots for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  1. Hey Steve! I am not sure if you ever ate at Nando Milano in Wicker Park, but they opened a 2nd location in Champaign. My family & I loved it in the city, but they unfortunately closed it and just have the location at UofI now. Nando is owned by two brothers both from Milan who have a ton of character and know how to deliver big time flavor. So next time you visit campus go enjoy a true Milano homemade meal, mangia!

Also, sorry about your Badgers going down to the Fighting ILL-INI…Go Lovie Go!

    1. Thanks for letting me know. I will be back down in May for daughter’s graduation, so maybe we’ll hit it. Miss them here. Go Badgers…
