What Are You Doing Wednesday Night?

Chances are your favorite chef, restaurateur or bartender isn’t going to be at work this Wednesday night. That’s because nearly 100 of the city’s top toques and mixologists will be with me at Share Our Strength’s annual “Taste of the Nation,” hoping to move a few small steps closer to eradicating childhood hunger in our region. The event will once again be held in the Grand Ballroom, at the far end of Navy Pier. There’s a VIP hour at 6 p.m. ($300) but for $125 you can come at 7 p.m. and still not leave hungry or thirsty. Bonus: since it’s a Wednesday night, you’ll have the best seats in the house for the weekly fireworks show at the Pier. I’m your MC, so definitely stop by to say hello. Hope to see you all there!
