Bread Pudding from Floriole

If Wheaties is the “breakfast of champions,” then I’m Bruce Jenner. Marketing propaganda aside, I’ve never found the same satisfaction in a bowl of cereal as I have from a thick wedge of Sandra Holl’s fruity, caramel-laced bread pudding for breakfast. Holl has always sold her bread pudding at the Green City Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays – and it’s been a huge success there – but since she opened Floriole Cafe and Bakery in Lincoln Park, it hasn’t exactly been flying off the shelf. She says the bread pudding (which has completely seasonal toppings) is only a moderate hit at the store. Well, if you all listen to my suggestion this week, I’m guessing a newfound demand might change that.
